Thanks for the awesome invitation to your exquisite play!

It was a lovely experience for me and I think I am speaking for everyone.

I loved how all your actors and actresses spoke loud and clear and used expression. The great dancing techniques they used, especially the boys doing the slap dance. That was a great idea!

Your play was like watching a comedy/musical T.V show. Wally and Mavis, I reckon they were one of the funniest actors. But in my opinion, I reckon that the most funniest person there was that foot stool guy. He was a crack up comedian, well to me. I loved the background settings of the ‘Old Grand Theatre’ and also the other props. I saw a couple of familiar faces in the choir, orchestra and mostly the actors. The choir were great at singing the songs because the harmony was pleasant to my ears . Even the orchestra did a fine job of playing the instruments. I loved the bongo drums. You guys at Mt Roskill are  talented. I loved your sound effects like when the puppy was dropped and also the costumes and little details (mostly the guy with the mustache Pier?)

‘Behind The Curtain’ is now my favourite play because you guys performed it to us.

Cross Country Poem! By Faasua!

This is a 2 lap WINNER!

CROSS COUNTRY!!!!

Red Faces and sweat around my color, It hurt every step I took in between that hour. I ran then walked then started to jog, before I knew it I finished the job. People cheering me on when I started to sprint, My breath smelled yuck when I finished so I took a Mint. I did not win a place but at least I participated, my mum gave me a burger and then I ate it.

Blue Bird!

BLUE BIRD!

In the beginning there was a little blue bird. This little blue bird flew into a school full of children laughing at a boy. It’s mind was stuck on this lonely, sad, shy also depressed boy. Blue bird found himself rising every time the lonely boy moved. It followed the boy to his classroom, outside and everywhere the little boy went.

The clock stroke 3:00 and the boy left school, unknowable that the little blue bird followed him behind. Suddenly the blue bird caught up and they walked together till they went by a circus bus. While the little bird was staring at the bus the little boy noticed that there was a shop near by. So the little boy got a cookie and again began walking with the blue bird. They came by some children playing with some paper boats. Blue bird landed on one and the children made friends with the lonely boy. But now he is not lonely he has new friends. The boy and the girl gave him a paper boat for him to keep!

They were so grateful and happy…….. UNTIL……………….

they came by a forest. In that forest there were three bullies. It was as if the bullies were waiting for them. Suddenly the bullies attacked them. They tried to run away. A stick came surfing in the air about to hit the boy…………. but wait it didn’t, it hit the blue bird. The bluebird was badly hurt. Tears came dropping down the boys little face. The bullies never imagined that this would happen so they were scared. So scared that they ran away and never came back. A bird came but it wasn’t blue it was red. Then came another and another and another different coloured bird! There was a lot of birds around…... Colourful birds in fact. These birds lifted the boy which I now decided to call ‘Jackson’ up, up and up into the blue sky. Happily the boy said bye to his feathered friend and blue bird flew away behind the clouds. Ahhh……. what is next for this little boy? Maybe he could play with his new friends. Who knows what lies ahead maybe another adventure is about to begin!!!!!!!!!

This is a story I have seen because this book is a special book. It had no words, just pictures. I had to predict what was happening in this story and make up my own words for this piece of work! Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hearing segals argue as if they were fighting over a meal, letting the fresh wind punching my face! Smelling a delicious barbecue near by wishing that I could join that happy family for a feast. The white puffy clouds floating above my head. The perfect crystal clear sky teaming up with the bright shining sun making my eyes watery. It got me thinking about their reflection in the dark blue sea. Ahhhhhh… it’s a great day for a picnic.

I caught something in the corner of my eyes. It was a graffiti painting word on the shed. I think it’s a warning. It looked as if that the word spelt ‘BEWARE’! I begin to panic so I looked around to see where my friends were.

I was so furious to see that my friends are leaving me out of a plan. What are they doing I wondered. They start to walk towards me counting down from five. All of a sudden six strong hands pushed me off the high wharf! Floating in the midair for a millisecond listening to my humerous friends laughing then plunging down to the still, calm water. It’s not going to be still for long!

I splash into the exploding water surprised that I am not angry at my friends any more.


This is a piece of work I had to do for a writing assessment about what is happening in the current picture we can see. It helps us with our inferring and guess/predictions on a image or thing!

The Twisted Story Of Snow White!

Snow Whites Big Day!   My version

Once upon a time there was a beautiful, fair teenager. She loved every single animal in the world. She was so happy……. UNTIL……. one day she went to get flowers for her rainbow coloured garden when the EVIL QUEEN’S half ugly and handsome soldiers came and poisoned her. When she woke up she was in the arms of the soldiers. They took her to a dark and scary place. There ,in the dark, lied a factory with red gue on it dribbling down from the roof! They walked right through the solid wall which took Snow White to a strange place. The sign said ‘Don’t be shy and buy one of the most delicious apple syrup made with the most horrible things on earth.’ The soldiers set her free and shoved her into the factory.

After she was in, there was no way out, the walls were solid. She decided to look on the bright side of things. “Hmmm. What should I do. Oh who are my workmates.” She walked to a door, curious of what was behind it she opened the door then quickly put her hands in front of her blue eyes.

“ SNOW WHITE!!!!!”. She opened her eyes and found out that there were thousands of fairy tale characters there like: The three little pigs, Red riding hood, Prince charming, Rapunzel, Sleeping beauty, even the Big bad wolf was there.

“That looks like a yummy treat” said the big bad wolf.

“That’s not fair I thought we were more yummier” said the three little pigs.

“Hands off boys she’s mine” said Prince Charming.

Suddenly out of no where the Evil Queen came busting through the door.

“What is this disgraceful ruckus!” said the Queen. Snow White was so scared she change the subject.

“Uh, uh mmy Queen.” Snow White Hovered. “Uh when ddo wwe get ppaid?”. There was a moment of silence then a smile cracked on the queens face.

“ Bwahahaha, you think you are working here to get paid with money.” She laughed more and more. She didn’t notice that a spider was hanging down on a string of silk. That spider was the best spider that Snow White knew!!!

The spider thought carefully and said to himself “It’s time for me to sacrifice myself for my friend.” The spider counted to 3 then jumped right into the Evil Queens mouth but missed. The Queen saw the spider then had a quick flashback to when she was young. She remembered that a spider bit her in her class. Everyone laughed at her screeching scream. She stopped laughing and screamed like never before and had a heart attack. After a few years everyone in the factory lived happily ever after. What lies next in this story of Snow White, maybe a next adventure is waiting to be UNLEASHED!

This is a piece of writing I had to do which is called Quick Writes! The reason why we did this is because we need to get fired up everyday when we are righting and it helps us use more of our imagination to create fun fairy tale stories!
