Density Lesson. Science.
LESSON. Faasua, Selam, Sefanaia, Atita.
Density: means the measure of how solid something is.
For Example:
- A desk
- The ground
- ect.
Prediction #1-No.1:
- When the oil is in the jar of water there could be bubbles floating around at the top.
- The water and the oil could mix together and the oil will end at the top of the jar.
Observation # 1-No.1 :
- As soon as the oil mixed with the water there were bubbles.
- The bubbles floated to the top of the jar, then the oil just stayed at the top of the jar and is now settled in it’s normal position.
- The oil is in one lane on the top of the jar.
- There are small tiny bubbles inside the oil lane.
Observation #2-No.2:
- The straw is sucking in the oil and water and letting it out when it is out of the jar.
- There are small bubbles everywhere.
- It looks like a tornado when you spin the straw really fast and hard.
- There is an oil layer and a bubble layer.
- The oil layer has gone bigger.
- There is no more clear water.
- The oil has turned into millions of bubbles.
- The oil looks a little bit clear but has a lot of bubbles in it.
Prediction #3-No.3:
- The food colouring might reach the water and change the waters colour or just mix with the oil and change the oil’s colour.
- The food colouring might sink to the bottom.
- The food colouring might make another layer.
Observation #3-No.3:
- the food colouring is mixing with the oil.
- The drops are dropping down from the oil layer.
- It is going to reach the water.
- It has reached it’s destination.
- The colouring is spreading out.
- When you mix it up it looks like jelly.
- It looks like a tornado when you spin it.
P.E this year!
Physical Education!
Basketball:
I am proud of basketball because the last time I played basketball I did not know how to play the actual game but now that I have been trained at school I know what to do! Now it is my third favourite sport also because I like spinning the on my finger and passing it to my buddies.
The things that I can do now that I couldn’t do before are shooting the ball from a long distance, how to bounce the ball through my two legs and do passing tricks like putting the ball up on your head then fake passing it then shoot for a goal. I can now also do now is side stepping and dribbling the ball at the same time! I got the best instructor/coach, teacher for basketball ever!!!!!!!

Room 15 Jigsaw Art
Self Assessment Form
Please make a copy before you begin!
1.I have used enlargement skills to create a jigsaw artwork with our class: Yes I reckon that my piece of the puzzle is creative, big and colourful!!!!!!!!!
2. I have used a range of pastel techniques:
I have definitely used most of the techniques and thats my favourite part!
3. I have looked closely at the colours on the small piece and used the same colours on the enlargement: I think that I have done most of my colour enlargement!
4. I have blended the pastels using different colours:
I blended some purple with the blue to make it look like the right texture. I love it.
5. What I would do differently next time:
I would lighten the colours a bit and blend/swipe my colours to make a perfect piece.
6. Other comments (what I like best and why, what I don’t like and why):
I loved my art techniques, the one with the orange stripes spread out on the yellow background. This is my positive, I have no negatives.
I LOVE MY ART WORK!!!!!!!!
Miss Lewis’ Comments (leave this space for Miss Lewis to complete):
I agree with you Fa’asua, you have done a great job. Your blending using shades of orange and yellow looks really effective and you have created depth.
